关于“看中国·外国青年影像计划”About "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project"


“看中国·外国青年影像计划”是由北京师范大学中国文化国际传播研究院(AICCC)和会林文化基金联合主办,中国高等教育学会影视传媒专业委员会提供学术支持的一项国际青年文化交流活动。旨在通过外国青年电影人的独特视角,展现中国文化的质朴与繁华、古老与时尚,提升中国文化国际吸引力,促进中外青年跨文化沟通与合作。

"Looking @ China·Youth Film Project" is an international youth cultural exchange activity jointly organized by the Academy for International Communication of Chinese Culture (AICCC) of Beijing Normal University and the Huilin Cultural Fund, with academic support from the Film, Television and Media Communication Committee of the China Association of Higher Education. It aims to showcase the simplicity and prosperity, the ancient and the modern of Chinese culture through the unique perspectives of young foreign filmmakers, enhance the international appeal of Chinese culture, and promote cross-cultural communication and cooperation between Chinese and foreign youth.

自2010年成立至今,“看中国”至今已走过15个年头,邀请了来自102个国家的1200余名外国青年落地中国,在中方志愿者的一对一协助之下,完成记录短片1160余部,获得国际奖项近两百项,足迹遍布全球28个国家,构成中国故事海外传播的重要载体。2014年,“看中国”项目特设“金目作品”,旨在对本年度中具有敏锐眼光和深刻洞见的优秀作品予以特别表彰,至今已成功举办11届。

Since its establishment in 2010, "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project" has gone through 15 years, inviting over 1,200 young foreigners from 102 countries to come to China. With the one-on-one assistance of Chinese volunteers, they have completed over 1,160 documentary short films, won nearly 200 international awards, left footprints in 28 countries worldwide, and formed an important carrier for the overseas dissemination of Chinese stories. In 2014, the "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project" specially established the "Golden Lens Awards" to recognize outstanding works from the year that demonstrate keen insight and profound perspective. The awards have been successfully held for 11 editions to date.


千余名外国青年在中方制片人的协助下,每人拍摄完成7-12分钟中国文化纪录短片,参加了国内外展映,作品上线腾讯视频、YouTube和Facebook等平台。“看中国”活动先后受到中华人民共和国国务院新闻办公室、人民日报、新华社、光明日报等国内外主流媒体的关注与报道,成为彰显中国魅力、宣扬中国文化的品牌项目。参与的学生作品未来也将持续受到各方关注,真正实现自己通过影像记录生活、改变微小世界的梦想!

With the assistance of Chinese producers, over a thousand foreign youth have each completed a 7-12 minute documentary short film on Chinese culture. These works have been screened domestically and internationally, and are available on platforms such as Tencent Video, YouTube, and Facebook. The "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project" has attracted attention and coverage from mainstream media both in China and abroad, including the State Council Information Office of the People's Republic of China, People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and Guangming Daily, becoming a brand project that showcases China's charm and promotes Chinese culture. Participating student works will continue to receive attention from all sides, truly realizing their dreams of recording life and changing the world through images.


2020年至今,上海温哥华电影学院已成功承办多届“看中国·外国青年影像计划·上海行”项目,并荣获“看中国·金目奖”最佳组织奖,积累了丰富的国际青年影像创作项目管理与教学指导经验。往届“看中国·外国青年影像计划·上海行”展映短片中,皆有佳作荣获金目奖。

Since 2020, Shanghai Vancouver Film School has successfully hosted multiple editions of the "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project·Looking Shanghai " and won the "Looking @ China·Golden Lens Award" for Best Organization, accumulating rich experience in managing international youth film creation projects and teaching guidance. Among the short films screened in previous "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project·Looking Shanghai" editions, excellent works have won the Golden Lens Award.

 

 

其中,2021年度“看中国·外国青年影像计划·上海行”展映作品《新中国之歌》不仅荣获第八届“金目奖”一等奖、最佳文化发现奖、最佳艺术表达奖三项大奖,更在全球范围内取得了现象级的传播效果。不仅在紫光阁、共青团中央、人民日报、光明日报、央视频等上百家主流媒体与新媒体平台广泛传播,登上微博热搜,相关话题阅读讨论量近7000万,更实现全网累计浏览量1.64亿次,覆盖受众约9亿人次,成为2021年国庆期间的现象级传播作品,并获中宣部指定全网推广。在海外传播方面,短片覆盖全球121个国家和地区,被美联社、每日先驱报、雅虎新闻、WBOC电视台、Boston Star、2news等国际媒体广泛报道。仅在YouTube平台,影片曝光次数就近50万,观看人数超十万人次。

Among them, the 2021 "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project·Looking Shanghai" screened work "The New China Song"not only won three major awards at the 8th Golden Lens Awards—First Prize, Best Cultural Discovery Award, and Best Artistic Expression Award—but also achieved phenomenal dissemination effects globally. It was widely disseminated on hundreds of mainstream and new media platforms, including Ziguangge, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, People's Daily, Guangming Daily, and China Media Group Mobile, trending on Weibo with nearly 70 million topic reads and discussions. It achieved a cumulative 164 million views across the internet, reaching an audience of approximately 900 million, becoming a phenomenal dissemination work during the 2021 National Day period, and was designated for promotion across the internet by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. In terms of overseas dissemination, the short film covered 121 countries and regions worldwide and was widely reported by international media such as the Associated Press, Daily Herald, Yahoo News, WBOC TV, Boston Star, and 2news. On YouTube alone, the film garnered nearly 500,000 impressions and over 100,000 views.

 

 


该片外方指导老师、上海温哥华电影学院未来影像系主任、AI未来影像创研中心负责人Odet Abadia以《新中国之歌》为例总结了面向国际观众讲述中国故事的创意方法与制作技巧,相关课程内容已精编成文《国际视野中的创意短片策划与制作技巧以<新中国之歌>为例》,并收录于由学习出版社出版的《国际传播实践的力量——中外影像大师课》一书,为国际传播实践与教学提供了重要参考。

The film's foreign instructor, Odet Abadia, Head of the Next-Gen Department at Shanghai Vancouver Film School and Director of the AI Future Center, used "The New China Song"as a case study to summarize creative methods and production techniques for telling Chinese stories to international audiences. The related course content has been compiled into an article titled "Creative Short Film Planning and Production Techniques from an International Perspective: A Case Study of <The New China Song>"and included in the book "The Power of International Communication Practice—Master Classes in Chinese and Foreign Filmmaking"published by Xuexi Publishing House, providing an important reference for international communication practice and teaching.

 

 

往届看中国·上海行的精彩记忆还未褪色,2026年,上海温哥华电影学院再次承办“看中国·外国青年影像计划·上海行”项目,持续为中外青年电影人提供创作交流平台。本届活动由上海大学上海温哥华电影学院、上海大学上海电影学院承办,上海大学新闻传播学院协办,共同搭建这一高水平、国际化的青年创作与交流平台。我们期待通过这一项目,为来自不同文化背景的青年创作者提供碰撞创意、探索表达的空间,见证更多富有创新精神与国际传播潜力的实践作品在这里诞生。

While the wonderful memories of previous "Looking @ China·Shanghai " editions have not faded, in 2026, Shanghai Vancouver Film School will once again host the "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project· Looking Shanghai," continuing to provide a creative exchange platform for young Chinese and foreign filmmakers. This edition is organized by Shanghai Vancouver Film School of Shanghai University and Shanghai Film Academy of Shanghai University, with the School of Journalism and Communication of Shanghai University as the co-organizer, jointly building this high-level, international platform for youth creation and exchange. We hope that through this project, we can provide a space for young creators from different cultural backgrounds to collide ideas and explore expression, and witness more innovative and internationally communicative works being born here.

一、活动主题 Theme


“城韵·时尚·活力”

"City Charm, Modern Style, Urban Vitality"


2026“看中国·外国青年影像计划”将聚焦中国式现代化进程中的城市文明新形态,展现兼具文化底蕴与现代气息的中国形象。以“城韵·时尚·活力”为主题,邀请全球青年电影人一同潜入上海的城市肌理,在历史街区中感悟深厚城韵,在潮流前沿触摸摩登时尚,在烟火日常中记录蓬勃活力,用镜头书写当代中国生动多元的形象。

The 2026 "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project" will focus on the new forms of urban civilization in the process of Chinese modernization, showcasing China's image that combines cultural heritage with modern appeal. With the theme "City Charm,Modern Style,Urban Vitality," it invites young global filmmakers to delve into the fabric of Shanghai's city, appreciate its profound charm in historic districts, touch upon modern fashion at the forefront of trends, and record its vibrant vitality in daily life, using the lens to write about the vivid and diverse image of contemporary China.

三、招募细则 Details for Recruiting


本次计划拟招募17名中国青年志愿者,协助来自西班牙、约旦、新加坡、土耳其、印度等国的外国青年导演,每组完成一部5-10分钟纪录短片或三部3分钟Vlog。

This program plans to recruit 17 Chinese youth volunteers to assist young foreign directors from countries such as Spain, Jordan, Singapore, Turkey, and India. Each group will complete one 5-10 minute documentary short film or three 3-minute Vlogs.


1.制片人 (10名) Producers (10 positions)


◎工作内容Job Description

每位中方志愿者,以制片人身份一对一协助外国来华青年,负责联络选题、协助翻译、拍摄制作、现场制片及全流程协助,在中外老师指导下,共同完成1部7-12分钟纪录短片。

Each Chinese volunteer, acting as a producer, will provide one-on-one assistance to a foreign youth in China. Responsibilities include liaising on project topics, assisting with translation, supporting shooting and production, on-site production coordination, and providing assistance throughout the entire process. Under the guidance of Chinese and foreign instructors, the volunteer will jointly complete one 7-12 minute documentary short film.

具备良好的英语沟通能力和沟通协调能力;拥有较强的责任心、团队协作与解决问题能力;有一定的视频制作经验;能保证项目全程投入。

To possess good English communication skills and coordination abilities; have a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; have some video production experience; and be able to commit fully to the entire project duration.


2.纪录片组成员 (4名)Documentary Team Members (4 positions)


◎工作内容 Job Description

负责记录“2026看中国·上海行”活动期间的图像和视频;捕捉整个活动期间的重要时刻以及日常生活中有意义的细节,对相关人员进行采访,共同完成“2026看中国·上海行”项目的活动纪录片1部(10分钟),要求有故事性、资料性和叙事风格。

Responsible for photographing and video recording the activities of participants during the "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project·Looking Shanghai"; capturing important moments throughout the event and meaningful details in daily life, conducting interviews with relevant personnel, and jointly completing one documentary (10 minutes) of the "Looking @ China·Youth Film Project·Looking Shanghai" activities, requiring a narrative style with storytelling and archival value.

具有影视创作经验和短片创作热情;能独立完成拍摄与剪辑;有故事思维,能捕捉动人细节;保证全程参与。

To have film/TV creation experience and enthusiasm for short film creation; be able to independently complete shooting and editing; possess storytelling thinking to capture touching details; and guarantee full participation.

 

3.媒体专员 (3名)Media Specialists (3 positions)


◎工作内容 Job Description

负责活动期间公众号推文、新闻稿等宣传内容的策划与撰写;项目结束后,协助进行成果梳理与文稿整理。

Responsible for planning and writing promotional content such as official account articles and press releases during the event. After the project, assist in organizing and summarizing the outcomes and written materials.

具备优秀的文字功底、新闻嗅觉和新媒体编辑能力;对宣传工作充满热情;认真细致,有良好的信息整合能力。

To possess excellent writing skills, news sense, and new media editing abilities; be passionate about promotional work; be meticulous and have good information integration skills.


(本科生、研究生均可报名,专业不限)(Both undergraduate and postgraduate students can apply, with no restriction on major.)

◎所有参与者均可获得活动证书 All participants will receive an activity certificate.

◎每人每天100元补助 A daily subsidy of 100 RMB per person.

◎优秀影片将有机会获得国内外电影节奖项Outstanding films will have the opportunity to win awards at domestic and international film festivals.

 


六、流程安排 Schedule

◎6月22日:启动仪式 June 22: Launch ceremony

◎6月23日~7月8日:集中创作期(调研、拍摄、后期)June 23 ~ July 8: Intensive creation period (research, filming, post-production)

◎7月中旬:成果展映暨闭幕仪式Mid-July: Results screening and closing ceremony
